The idea for My Boomer Buddy was inspired by my father and a moment that forever changed how I see caregiving. He lives 2,600 miles away, and during an ice storm, his electricity went out. He suddenly had no heat, little food in the house, and no firewood to keep warm. At 80 years old, he was left to rely on the quiet company of his loyal German shepherd while waiting for the storm to pass and the powerlines to thaw.

I felt helpless, miles away and unable to reach him. He’s always been independent, but in that moment, it became clear how quickly circumstances can change. Thankfully, I managed to have food and firewood delivered to him, but the thought stuck with me: What about others like my dad, who might not have someone watching out for them? That question lit a spark in me.

My Boomer Buddy was born out of a desire to give people like my dad—and their families—peace of mind. It’s about providing support when it’s needed most, whether it’s delivering essentials in a time of crisis, helping with everyday tasks, or simply being a companion. At the heart of it, my mission is to ensure that no one feels forgotten, whether they’re battling a storm or just need a friendly face.

Because everyone deserves someone to rely on, and every buddy has a story worth sharing.
